LG VIATERA MINUET INSTALL
Just to note, both sets of pendants are BRIGHT! Best to install a dimmer with both. Thankfully, I found this beauty from a completely different company that had the same elements. Originally, I had another fixture for over the dining room table, but once installed, I didn’t like the flow across the room. I read one of the reviews where someone had ordered the silver and painted them gold and that’s exactly what I did. I waited months for them to come back in stock, but it never happened before I needed to place my order.
Problem was, they were out of the gold finish. I finally stumbled across these for $235/piece. I took to google to find an alternative for less and spent over a month trying to find something similar. Way out of my price-range considering everything else I needed to buy. The problem is these lights are $900 each. I ran across this picture on Pinterest and fell in love with the modern take on the lantern style with the sputnik lights. My style is a mix of traditional and modern and I love the openness and structure of lantern pendants, but find most have candle lights that are a little too traditional for me. These gorgeous black and gold pendant lights truly add so much character to the space and perfectly accent the steel column running through the island (click here to see why we have this column). To bring light to the whole space, we chose can lights in the ceiling, under-cabinet lighting and in-cabinet lighting for the glass doors. I’m so happy with all the beautiful accents that I chose for this kitchen. The pictures don’t do it justice, it’s so much prettier in person. To make a seamless transition between the countertop and the walls, I chose a marble subway tile for the back splash in the same bright white with gray veining. And in or interior placed kitchen, I wanted a very bright white. Minuet is also very beautiful, but not as snow-white and has gray, brown and even pink veining. It’s a beautiful snowy white with light gray veining. The minute I hit that slab yard, my eye was drawn right to the LG Viatera color Muse. I finally tracked down a slab yard in Austin that carried the LG Viatera, because you HAVE to see the entire slab to really see the color, veining and to get an overall feel. I went to a ton of showrooms and slab yards looking at other options, but I kept coming back to the image I’d seen of Minuet. I had found a blog post years ago with the most beautiful pictures of a quartz called, Minuet by LG Viatera. I’m not a fan of huge veining and variances in granite, but wanted some veins for texture. And the quartz slab on top is so dreamy! I had been researching countertops for years and knew that I wanted quartz because of it’s look and versatility. It’s big with plenty of room for a family of 4 and all the cabinets and appliances I wanted. Probably my favorite element of the entire remodel is THE ISLAND. Many times my eyes were way bigger than my wallet, so I had to find a similar item when I couldn’t afford the original.
